Description
Jordyn was diagnosed with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva or FOP in March 2008. It is one of the most disabling genetic conditions known to medicine. It causes bone to form in muscles, tendons, ligaments and other connective tissues. Bridges of extra bone develop across joints, progressively restricting movement and forming a second skeleton that imprisons the body in bone. There are no other known examples in medicine of one normal organ system turning into another. There are approximately 900 known cases of FOP in the world.
After many years of suffering Jordyns body could no longer sustain her illness. She passed away on Dec 11th, 2020 due to complications of FOP and epilepsy. We continue to honor her legacy by raising money to support the IFOPA who is on a quest to find a cure.
Jordyn was more than a best friend to me, she was like my sister. We did everything together as teenagers. She loved Starbucks, shopping and was the best fashionista around. She loved helping other people in anyway she could and had the biggest heart of anyone I know. Jordyn will always be my best friend and I will always advocate for her by helping find a cure for FOP and I hope you can too.

BURNING INSTRUCTIONS:
Trim wick to 1/4 inch before lighting. Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Never leave a candle unattended.
